Attitude Learn from your mistakes and remember to always plan ahead so you are ready for anything that is thrown your way. Always be able to hold an attitude that shows that you are in control and you can handle anything. |
Be Early! Always be early(or on time I suppose). When you are late you are showing your buyers or sellers that you are not consistent and serious about what you are doing. They also may get the impression that you are not going to help them much if you don’t care about their business, enough to at least be on time in meeting them. |
Chain Yourself By the end of the day you may be at your desk looking over a long and tedious project that has to be done. Instead of procrastinating or chewing up time, chain yourself to your desk. (Of course don’t use a real chain, you may look a little silly…) Tell yourself that you will to leave your desk until this is finished. |
Just Say No Stand up for something and say no if you have to. You cant please everyone and some people can not always be pleased. Don’t find yourself always trying to make everyone happy. If you have to stand up and say ‘no’ than do so. |
Open House Instead of sitting all Sunday in another persons house waiting for the one and only special buyer will pass by, here is another idea. Show 90% of the house off through virtual tour or a variety of pictures on your site. Show buyers what the house is all about so the main people who show up to the house are the ones who are looking to buy instead of just looking around. |
Trust Do everything in your power to get your buyers and sellers to trust you. Trust is the first key. If they don’t trust you then you will never get their business. Smile and be polite! Don’t just tell them what they want to hear, be very upfront with them. |
As Good As Can Be Make sure to hire an inspection agent to come in and look over the house. This will insure that all the measures that have to be done you will know about. After you have found all the problems, make sure to let the seller know what they have to do to make their home as good as can be for the buyers to overview. |
Past Sellers Ideas Let your sellers know what tips you have picked up form other sellers in the past that could help in their situation. If you believe that something that you have seen before could help your seller make more for their home then let them in. In the long run this is also helping you out. |
Professional Make sure you always look and act in a professional manor. Everyone that will deal with you will judge and asses you. They will always have other choices and how appear to them could change the way they feel about you. |
Re-ensure Your Target Make sure everyone know what you have done in the past. Let them know you specialize in real estate and know what you are doing. Let your website show where you attended and how you ranked. Let them see that you can appeal to their every need and can help them with any problem or concern that may accrue. |
